Cai Yi, President of Suzhou Pairlink Network Technology: 「During the development of the BLE and BT Audio solutions we selected, the hardware operated stably, the software protocol stack was comprehensive, and the interfaces were flexibly open, allowing us to successfully carry out innovative application development. The collaboration between Realtek and Pairlink has been very smooth, with effective synergy and significant results. 」
Suzhou Pairlink Network Technology focuses on the Internet of Things (IoT) industry, particularly on providing comprehensive solutions based on Bluetooth technology. Under its brand name "Suzhou Pairlink," the company is dedicated to advancing the IoT field through its core technology, Connected BLE. In this exclusive interview with General Manager Cai, we delve into the future development of Bluetooth in IoT and explore how Realtek and Suzhou Pairlink are bringing Bluetooth product applications to life.
1. Could you please introduce the core business and market positioning of Suzhou Pairlink Network Technology?
Suzhou Pairlink's company name originates from the Bluetooth term 'Pairlink.' Its core business focuses on continuous innovation in Bluetooth-based applications, dedicated to providing customers with differentiated products that enhance their market value. As a professional Bluetooth system solution provider, Pairlink offers one-stop services including low-level Bluetooth application development, mobile APP/APK development, and cloud-based SaaS development.
2. Suzhou Pairlink Network Technology's Connected BLE technology is currently applied in the Japanese market and holds patents globally. How do you think this technology can maintain its competitive edge on a global scale? Will it further expand into other markets in the future?
For any technology to remain at the forefront, it must stay closely aligned with market application needs and consistently invest in innovative research and development. Connected BLE (internally referred to as the Bluebee system) was initially founded on the Bluetooth protocol to implement a Zigbee network architecture, combining the strengths of both Bluetooth and Zigbee. Over the past nearly 10 years of development and promotion, we have developed a +/-50ms synchronization control algorithm in the smart lighting field, enhancing user experience. In industrial applications, the Bluebee system has integrated Beacon/iBeacon for indoor positioning and auxiliary services. In commercial applications, we have developed long-range communication suitable for outdoor scenarios. The company remains committed to a market-driven approach, continuously promoting the application of the Bluebee system across multiple fields.
3. In recent years, with the rapid development of AI and the emergence of the Matter protocol standard, what do you think the role and development of Bluetooth technology will be in these new trends?"
The core positioning of Bluetooth technology is to provide convenient connections and stable communication between devices. With the rapid development of AI, there is a clearer demand for point-to-point data collection and command transmission. Matter, by defining a unified protocol at the TCP/IP layer, further drives the development of the Internet of Things (IoT). In this context, Bluetooth technology naturally complements the upper and lower protocol layers. I believe that no matter how IoT evolves or how technology iterates, the fundamental need for convenient and stable communication between devices will always remain. Therefore, Bluetooth technology should focus on this basic need and continue to optimize interference-resistant algorithms and security strategies, providing an excellent foundational communication protocol for IoT.
4. Could you please share the core technology independently developed by Suzhou Pairlink, the Connected BLE solution, which is compatible with mobile control apps? What are the application scenarios in the Internet of Things (IoT)?
The application scenarios are extremely broad, covering various fields such as smart lighting/smart home, smart agriculture, healthcare, and the industrial Internet of Things (IoT). In summary, it involves replacing DALI in the lighting sector and RS485 and other wired systems in the industrial communication industry.
5. Suzhou Pairlink has developed the 'Bluebee System' Bluetooth networking system and 'Bluebee System Plus,' which support long-distance communication and high synchronization with low latency (5ms). How do you view the potential of this technology in smart home and industrial applications?
The "Bluebee system Plus," developed based on Realtek's RTL8762CMF, leverages the RTL8762CMF's 7.5 db RF transmission power and -97 dB reception sensitivity to provide customers with a more reliable wireless communication system. This effectively addresses concerns in industrial applications, such as obstruction, wall penetration, and metal interference, further advancing its adoption in the industrial sector. Currently, the "Bluebee system Plus" technology has been implemented in smart street lighting systems, smart agriculture, and garden automation systems. Additionally, due to the high-precision clock integrated within the RTL8762CMF, Pairlink has developed a high-precision synchronization technology that achieves control latency of less than 5ms across multiple Bluetooth devices, enabling high-precision wireless synchronization control for certain mobile phone peripheral products.
6. Could you please explain the reasons for choosing to collaborate with Realtek? What are the technical advantages of the Bluetooth BLE and BT Audio solutions developed in partnership with Realtek?
The reason I chose this IC design platform is quite simple, primarily based on the company's development history, market positioning, and product development roadmap. Realtek has a long-standing history and extensive experience, with a clear market positioning across various product lines and a continuous iteration of its products. During the development of the BLE and BT Audio solutions we selected, the hardware operated stably, the software protocol stack was comprehensive, and the interfaces were flexibly open, allowing us to successfully carry out innovative application development. The collaboration between Realtek and Pairlink has been very smooth, with effective synergy and significant results.
7. How do you assess the development trends of smart homes in the next 5-10 years? How will these trends bring new momentum to the Bluetooth sector?
In the next 5 to 10 years, I believe the smart home market will evolve from the current state of intense competition to a landscape where a few dominant players emerge. Each brand will gradually develop its own unique characteristics and service systems. Bluetooth, as the most widely used and convenient short-range communication protocol, will be adopted by most brands. The vast market demand will provide continuous and long-term growth momentum for Bluetooth technology.
8. What are Suzhou Pairlink Network Technology's long-term plans and goals for the future?
Suzhou Pairlink has always been focused on Bluetooth technology, dedicated to providing innovative solutions for various industry applications. We develop wireless solutions for wired communications and offer the Bluebee system for other wireless communications. Through our long-term collaboration with Realtek, Pairlinkpolin has been able to continuously optimize and refine our products, keeping pace with market demands and enhancing our technological innovation capabilities. We will stay true to our original mission, moving forward with determination, and continue to drive technological innovation and application implementation.
