Bluetooth wireless technology has been applied to various fields. IndoorLink, a renowned audio equipment manufacturer, specializes in the domain of audio guidance and mastered the core technology of audio tours. They recently launched a new clip-on one-to-many tour guide device. This wireless tour guide device is not just a simple audio transmission tool, the technology it adopts behind the scenes is Realtek's Auracast™ broadcast audio solution, RTL8763EAU/RTL8763EFL.

According to the information provided by the Bluetooth® SIG in their document "Introducing Bluetooth® LE Audio", a delay of more than 200 milliseconds (ms) between video and audio can lead to visual inaccuracies, causing noticeable differences and impacting the viewing experience. Realtek's Bluetooth Low Latency technology is designed to minimize latency to less than 30 milliseconds (ms), resulting in a more seamless and real-time experience for users. This ensures precise synchronization when watching videos, playing games, or using keyboard input, eliminating any perceived delay.

Auracast Broadcast Audio is a new capability introduced by Bluetooth SIG that enables an audio source device – such as a smartphone, laptop, TV, or even a public address or sound system – to transmit Bluetooth audio to any number of in-range Bluetooth audio receivers – such as headphones, earbuds, or even hearing aids. Auracast™ broadcast audio will deliver life-changing audio experiences that will enhance the way we engage with others and the world around us. The Bluetooth Auracast™ broadcast audio solution developed by Realtek includes a Transmitter, Receiver, and Assistant. Realtek's Assistant solution also enables the control of Auracast™ Receiver to play audio from the Transmitter using existing smartphones. Additionally, it can be applied to assistive hearing systems, breaking limitations and offering a new auditory experience.

Realtek has a long-term cooperative relationship with SIG to communicate with each other and promote the development of Bluetooth technology. We have continued to pay attention to LE Audio since last year. Realtek unveiled the demo of true wireless stereo (TWS) and speakers that support LE Audio at the product launch in October 2021 and recently launched a complete dongle SDK for LE Audio transmitters. We positively continue to participate in LE audio technology development.
