Realtek Showcases Advanced Smart Healthcare Solution at MEDICA 2025

2025/12/11

Realtek Semiconductor Corp., a global leader in connectivity and integrated IC solutions, made a strong appearance at MEDICA 2025 within the joint Taiwan Pavilion organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the National Science and Technology Council. The company unveiled its latest generation of AI-driven smart healthcare and wearable technology solutions. Upholding its commitment to continuous innovation, Realtek introduced a range of market-ready intelligent platforms that are setting new benchmarks for connected healthcare devices and digital health wearables.

At MEDICA 2025, Realtek spotlighted its latest advancements in smart healthcare—demonstrating solutions across hearing devices, consumer health monitors, and wearables. The company's booth and live demonstrations attracted robust interest and significant inquiries from healthcare professionals, engineers, and industry leaders throughout the event.

Central to Realtek's showcase were a series of next-generation wearable platforms, including smartwatches, smart bands, and smart rings—all powered by Realtek's ultra-low-power Bluetooth SoCs (RTL8773E, RTL8762C/62E). These advanced chipsets deliver extended battery life, steady wireless connectivity, and versatile sensor support for devices designed for continuous health and activity monitoring. In addition, the RTL8762J SoC was also featured for its critical role in enabling highly compact continuous glucose monitors. Its superior power efficiency and compact footprint pave the way for slimmer, more comfortable healthcare wearables that support long-term use with minimal charging.

Realtek further introduced AI-powered OTC hearing aid and hearing glasses platforms leveraging the RTL8773DO-VHA, which offer advanced voice processing and AI-enabled noise reduction. These platforms provide prescription-grade acoustic performance for both OTC and clinical hearing applications—even in demanding sound environments.

During the "Smart Chip Technologies for Medical Devices" workshop at MEDICA 2025, Dr. Ching-Hua Yeh from Realtek's Bluetooth business division shared insights with industry peers through the presentation "Enabling Smart Healthcare through Connectivity and Low-Power Chip Innovations." Dr. Yeh outlined how advances in wireless connectivity, ultra-low-power design, and embedded AI are driving the evolution of next-generation healthcare and wearable devices.

During the "Company Pitch" session at MEDICA 2025, Mr. Charles Wu, Manager of Realtek's Bluetooth Division, presented ultra-low-latency AI hearing aid and AI hearing glasses solutions, along with comprehensive smart health wearable solutions including smart rings, bands, and watches, attracting many interested manufacturers to the Realtek booth for further partnership discussions.

Throughout MEDICA 2025, Realtek actively engaged with leading partners, ODMs/OEMs, and innovators to promote the adoption of its new healthcare platforms. By showcasing solutions ranging from AI-enhanced hearing technologies to ultra-compact wearables and advanced power management, Realtek underscored its vision of making healthcare smarter, safer, and more accessible through advanced connectivity and seamlessly integrated design.
