Realtek Semiconductor Corp. will showcase next-generation Bluetooth solutions at IBC 2026, spanning smarter remote controls, connected healthcare concepts, and ultra-low-latency gaming audio. The demonstrations highlight how OEMs can deliver more intuitive, responsive connected-device experiences across TVs, set-top boxes, home entertainment, gaming, and smart-home products.

Realtek’s Bluetooth RCU portfolio scales from efficient monochrome remotes to premium graphical controllers. The RTL8762E and RTL8752H support Bluetooth Low Energy, IR learning, voice commands, key scanning, OTA updates, and monochrome or segmented LCDs—making them well suited for practical, low-power appliance remotes.

For richer interfaces, the RTL8772GWP combines a 125 MHz Cortex-M55 MCU, integrated 2D graphics, PSRAM buffering, and support for 480 × 480, 24-bit color displays. Bluetooth LE, Thread, Matter, and flexible touch, voice, sensing, memory, and Ethernet interfaces enable customizable controls for smart-home, multimedia, and premium appliance applications.

Realtek will also demonstrate the Google reference G42 pointer remote, powered by the RTL8762DT. With 24 physical keys plus voice, touch, and pointer control, the design makes smart-TV navigation more natural. Optional Find My Remote capability, UWB support, and an integrated IMU enable precise cursor movement, hover interactions, and motion-based navigation.

A smart healthcare RCU concept will show how remote-control platforms can also support personal wellness monitoring. Built around the RTL8762DT or RTL8772GWP and the RTL8765AC PPG front end, the concept supports heart-rate and blood-oxygen monitoring, as well as blood-pressure estimation, while retaining essential remote functions including voice input, IR learning and transmission, key scanning, and silent OTA updates.

For gaming and wireless audio, Realtek will feature the RTL8773J Bluetooth HDT audio SoC. Supporting Realtek HDT and R-HDT+ technologies, it delivers data rates of up to 15 Mbps and targets approximately 10 ms latency. Its Shorter Connection Interval (SCI) technology can reduce connection intervals to 1.25 ms, supporting fast, synchronized audio and HID performance for interactive gaming.
